But does this new nic salt range have what it takes to knock Bar Series off the top spot? Well, that’s what I’m here to find out.

As both of these eliquids are nic salts, they share many of the same basic properties and key features. As expected, both Elfliq and Bar Series nic salts contain a balanced 50VG/50PG formula which is designed to deliver maximum flavour along with a smooth throat hit, and it managed to do just that.
The overall mouth-feel and vaping experience of these two brands was incredibly similar. I paired them with my trusty Uwell Caliburn A2 pod kit and wasn’t disappointed. The hit from each eliquid was exceptionally smooth, which is exactly what I look for in a high-quality nic salt e-liquid.
As nic salts are particularly popular among those trying to quit smoking, nicotine strength is a huge factor to consider. While many brands don’t offer more than one strength option, I was surprised to learn that both Bar Series and Elfliq have two different nicotine strengths to choose from; 10mg and 20mg. I tested out the 20mg options and they were perfect for curbing my cravings instantly. But if you’ve been on your quit smoking journey for some time and feel ready to lower your nicotine intake, it’s good to know that there’s a 10mg option available too.

Bar Series flavours are strong. In fact, they may just be the most potent eliquids I’ve ever tried! Each puff was seriously intense, so if you’re looking for nic salts that aren’t lacking in taste, Bar Series is a must-try.
Although I really enjoyed the taste of the Elfliq flavours I tried, they certainly weren’t as potent as Bar Series salts. While I don’t think Elfliq nic salts lack flavour or taste unpleasant, they’re just far more subtle. But if you’re a fan of Elf Bar disposables, you can expect a pretty similar flavour experience when vaping with Elfliq.

As Bar Series have been around for quite a while, their nic salt range is far from their only e-liquid collection as they also produce Bar Series shortfills. Designed for advanced vapers, these shortfills feature a 70VG/30PG blend, ideal for sub-ohm setups and cloud chasing. Unlike their nic salts, Bar Series shortfills are nicotine-free, coming in 100ml bottles that can be paired with a nic shot for those who prefer nicotine-based liquids.
Despite Elf Bar's extensive history and influence in the vape industry, it's genuinely surprising to discover that the Elfliq series is the first e-liquid range from this brand. Over the years, Elf Bar has solidified its position with various disposable ranges and even ventured into pod kits with the introduction of devices like the Elf Bar Elfa and Elf Bar Mate, but the launch of the Elfliq series marks a completely new era for the Elf Bar brand and I can’t wait to see what they do next.

Among them, Dinner Lady stands out as a worthy competitor.
Dinner Lady is an iconic brand that’s renowned for its distinctive and award-winning flavour combinations, so it's no wonder this brand has rapidly risen to become one of the top sellers. The Dinner Lady nic salt range boasts over 40 different flavours, making them even more prolific than Bar Series and Elfliq. Also, on top of their great range of bold and exciting blends, they offer a huge array of tobacco profiles to cater to all palates. So, if any brand had what it takes to rival the likes of Bar Series and Elf Bar, it would probably be Dinner Lady.
Another honourable mention would have to be Cigara Salt Bar, our very own in-house range of nic salt e-liquid. Much like Bar Series liquid and Elfliq, they’re also inspired by popular disposable vape flavours. Bar Series Vs Elf Bar Elfliq Verdict
On the whole, after trying out Elfliq and Bar Series e liquid for myself over the past few weeks, it’s safe to say that both brands offer a great nic salt experience experience. As they share the same 50PG/50VG composition, they served up a nearly identical vaping experience in terms of mouth-feel and throat hit, and as a daily user of nic salts, I can confirm that they both performed brilliantly in my Caliburn A2 pod kit.
As they have so much in common, it can be tricky to choose between them. But, after trying them out for myself, Bar Series stood out as my personal favourite.
I was truly blown away by just how powerful the Bar Series flavours are, and I finally understand why this brand has such a loyal fanbase. I love vape juice with potent flavours, so Bar Series nic salts are right up my alley, delivering probably the most intense flavour hit I’ve ever experienced while using nic salts. Plus, their diverse range of blends leaves me spoiled for choice and I can’t wait to get my hands on more of their blends.
That being said, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Elfliq nic salts, they just didn’t impress me in quite the same was as Bar Series. The flavours tasted great and are practically identical to Elf Bar flavours found in their disposable vapes, but they just weren’t strong enough for my liking.
Ultimately, if you’re struggling to choose between these two nic salt brands and need a little guidance, you’ll need to consider how strong you like your vape flavours to be before making a decision. If you prefer more muted and delicate notes that don’t overpower your palate, Elfliq is a sound choice with plenty of Elf Bar flavours to choose from. But, if you’re anything like me and want the most intense flavour experience possible, you truly won’t find better than Bar Series.
